Tensile Solutions installed a 7m x 7m 'Mistral' tensile fabric structure at the newly built Little Plumbstead School, Norwich on behalf of Fabric Architecture Ltd & Signature Structures Ltd.

A telehandler was used in the installation of this new build school and the fabric structure was installed in just one day.

The new permanent tensile structure provides contemporary shade, rain cover and an outdoor classroom / covered area in the school grounds.

The steel is powdercoated and the fabric is high specification silicon coated woven glass.

The 'solar glass weave' (SGW) fabric has a design life in excess of 25 years. It lets through up to 40% of visible light (much more than architectural PVC - circa 15%). Most importantly it blocks all UVB so children underneath will not get sunburn and it lets through UVA so plants underneath can still photosynthesize.

Tensile Solutions now offer our own range of tensile fabric structures. Being a small, family run firm we pride ourselves on our competitive prices and great customer service.

Please contact us for a quotation if you are planning to use fabric in your next project.
